Earlier this month, Mountain Lodges of Peru welcomed a group from Trekking for Kids (TFK), a non-profit which organizes purpose-driven treks around the world, on The Upper Sacred Valley and Lares Adventure to Machu Picchu. While staying at Huacahuasi Lodge, the group was received by the community at the opening of Qori Maki (“Golden Hand” in Quechua), an interpretation center that will be used as a space to educate and connect visitors to the unique culture of Huacahuasi and the Lares region.
This TFK-funded venture is another step toward investing in community partnerships and supporting our goal of sharing the culture of Peru with our travelers.
